1.1 Irish Lotto lottery is managed by Irish National Lottery and usually takes place on Wednesday and Saturday evenings in Ireland at approximately 20:00, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

1.2 You can place a Bet on Irish Lotto as late as the time announced in the Islands Lotto site before that night’s draw.

1.3 To play Irish Lotto, You should fill in the interactive play slip for Irish Lotto. Choose 6 numbers from the main pool of 1–47. You can also select the Lucky Dip option and this will choose a line for you randomly. Once you have chosen your numbers, select which draw you want to play, either Wednesday, Saturday or both, the number of weeks and press Play.

1.4 Once your bet has been accepted it will be shown as “Confirmed” in Your “Account” section.  If the bet status is “Pending” your bet has not been placed, if your bet remains in a pending state for more than five minutes contact Islands Lotto Support.

How to Win Irish Lotto

2.1 If Your Irish Lotto Bet matches any of the Prize categories in the table in 2.2 below, You will win a Prize in the highest relevant Prize category, subject to these Rules, the Terms and the Lottery Operator’s Rules.

Calculating Irish Lotto Winnings

2.3 After the Irish Lotto results are announced, winnings are calculated and transferred to your Player Account. This usually happens within 24 hours of the Draw.

2.4 Islands Lotto calculates the Winnings for each Bet accordingly to section 3 of the Lottery Betting Rules.

2.5 Results can be checked on the Islands Lotto website, and independently via the Irish National Lottery website.

2.6 Winnings generated by Your Irish Lotto Bet will be published in the Islands Lotto website and taken from the operator Irish National Lottery, after deduction of local taxes and any applicable administration fees for tiers 1 and 2.  See Lottery Betting Rules. All tiers will displayed in GBP.

Payment Process

2.7 Winnings in Tier 1 and 2 will be paid directly to you, after validation, by our betting partner who levy an administration fee see Lottery Betting Rules. All other tiers will be paid by Islands Lotto without an administration fee.

Jackpot Cap

2.8 The maximum jackpot that can be won when placing a Bet in Irish Lotto through the Islands Lotto site is £92.4 million, less any administration fee see Lottery Betting RulesIf the Underlying Lottery exceeds this amount, Islands Lotto will only announce the Jackpot cap. This is a pool bet meaning the jackpot is shared if there are multiple winners, see lottery betting rules for example winning illustrations.

2.8.1 The maximum jackpot that can be won in Tier 2 when placing a Bet in Irish Lotto through the Islands Lotto site is £1 million, less any administration fee see Lottery Betting RulesIf the Underlying Lottery exceeds this amount, Islands Lotto will only announce the Jackpot cap. Administration Fee

2.9 The Administration fee levied by our betting partner applicable on tiers 1 and 2 only and equates to 1.25%.

What currency payments are made in

2.10 All Winnings are usually paid in the same currency of your Bet, but may, at our discretion, be paid in an alternative major currency such as Euros, Pound Sterling or US Dollars. Where sums are denoted by a lottery in another currency, we will convert your Draw Winnings into pounds Sterling using the exchange rate provided by our bank on the date determined by us.
